What is a merchant
account?
A merchant account is an account that allows a business to accept funds
from customers. When ever you use your credit card or use a check at a store,
or buy something online, the company that you are purchasing from is using a
merchant account to process your transaction.
At a physical store, such as a supermarket, there are little black terminals
that you can swipe your credit card through, or if you use a check, there are
usually small machines that catalog your information.
Online, things are different, people cannot swipe their cards or let you scan
their checks. Instead, everything is handled electronically through secure webpages.
This is the type of account that you'd be using for a website. This is basically
what is known as "e-commerce".
Once a customer has completed an order from a website, the information is first
confirmed to make sure a credit card is legitimate, or a checking account is valid.
Once verified, the sale is sent to your merchant account provider who in turn makes
a record of it so that you can view it online and in your monthly statement; they
then usually send it to a clearing house, and finally the sale amount is deposited
into your bank account.

How do I get a
merchant account?
It's pretty easy! First, go to our Merchant Account Website,
and follow the appropriate links and instructions.
We have teamed up with E-Commerce Exchange, one of the best online
merchant account providers in the world! Once you fill out the appropriate
form they will contact you directly and help you set up your account.
If you are planning on having us build your website, we will initiate the
application process for you!
My personal credit isn't that great, does my personal credit history pervent me from getting an account?
The answer is easy... no! We are proud to state that through our affiliation
with E-Commerce Exchange, we are able to guarantee that all Inner Eye Design
customers are pre-approved! Regardless of personal credit history, you will
be able to get a merchant account through us.
Keep in mind that, if you do have a bad credit history, your rates will be
higher, but, none-the-less it's good to know that you've already been approved!
Also don't forget that we've been able to have the entire application fee waived,
that's a savings of $195 to begin with! It doesn't get much better than that.

How does a merchant account work with my website?
Your website will interact with your merchant account through the use of coding.
Specific coding is created within your webpage that makes everything work seamlessly.
If you are planning on have Inner Eye Design build your website, we will program
the needed coding into the specific pages that need it.
If you already have a website and want to e-commerce enable it, you will have to
have it redesigned to some extent. Not redesigned visually, but redesigned and/or
added to in the "behind the scenes" coding of your webpages.
